MedCadre is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Lewiston, Maine.

Location: Lewiston, ME 04240
Shift: Days 7a-7p (3 x 12)

Travel Pay Rate: $2400 weekly ($32.07/hr on w2 + $1246/week stipend)
Local Pay Rate: $59 per hour on W2

Start Date: 11/17/2025

Job Type: 13-week Contract

Position Summary:

• Minimum 3 years of experience is required
• Behavioral Health Experience Required
• Travelers must be willing to float to Inpatient Adult Behavioral Heatlh and Detox units
• BLS certification required
• CPI Required
• Staff must be trained and able to demonstrate competency in the application of restraints, implementation of seclusion, monitoring, assessment, and providing care for a patient in restraint or seclusion to ensure competency has been validated by the agency employing the staff member.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status during the detoxification process.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to create personalized care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the detoxification process and recovery options.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage withdrawal symptoms effectively using appropriate interventions and medications.
• Participate in case management activities, including discharge planning and follow-up care coordination.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients through adherence to infection control practices.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in detoxification nursing.

Required Qualifications:

• RN ME State or Compact License, BLS from (AHA) & CPI Required
