Sodexo’s Campus Segment is seeking an experienced and dynamic Food Operations Manager 3 for SUNY Plattsburgh in Plattsburgh, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused university dining environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail food operations , team development , and client relations , along with proven success in achieving operational and financial goals.
What You'll Do:Oversee daily food and retail operations to ensure excellence in quality, service, and presentation.
Train, develop, and lead a large management and hourly team (union environment experience a plus).
Manage purchasing, food and labor costs, and budget performance to meet or exceed financial targets.
Uphold Sodexo’s food and physical safety programs and compliance standards.
Foster strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and partnership.
Champion service excellence, promoting a positive and engaging customer experience across all dining locations.
Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that align with both client and company goals.

What You Bring:Proven success managing college/university retail dining or similar high-volume operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, train, and inspire diverse teams .
Solid understanding of financial management , including purchasing, budgets, and cost control.
Experience implementing food safety , sanitation , and service quality standards .
Excellent communication and client relations skills.

Qualifications & Requirements:Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
