Your Responsibilities - Performing holistic patient assessments, ordering vital diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, either independently or in collaboration with physicians (as per your credentials)
- Leading educational conversations with patients and families about wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management
- Prescribing necessary medications and therapies according to the standards of practice
- Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
- Working in tandem with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintaining thorough, accurate records using electronic medical systems (EMR)
Required Qualifications - MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) or DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice)
- Completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
Necessary Certifications - Active Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
